How we use analytics on this site.
This site uses a self-hosted copy of Matomo so we can see which pages are useful. Analytics run on traffic.rocketvalleysystems.com, a server we operate. We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not sell this data or share it with advertisers.
What is collected
When you load a page, Matomo may record:
- the page address and title, and when it was viewed
- the referring site or search query, if the browser sends one
- browser, device, screen size, language, and approximate location derived from IP address
- first-party cookies Matomo uses to tell a new visit from a returning one
Visits are recorded unless you choose Deny on the cookie notice. If JavaScript is disabled, a small tracking image may still be requested from our Matomo server.
Why we collect it
So we can improve the site: which pages are read, where people arrive from, and where the experience breaks. This is first-party analytics for our own use, not a marketing profile sold to anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep aggregated reports so we can see trends over time. Detailed visitor logs are retained only as long as they are useful for that purpose, then deleted or rolled up.
Opting out
Choose Deny on the cookie notice to keep analytics off. You can also opt out of Matomo tracking for this site, block cookies in your browser, or email contact@rocketvalleysystems.com to ask what we hold or to request deletion.
